1. Interactive Video: A Powerful Learning Experience

Based on our TV viewing experiences, we know that video captures passion and nuance. So it stands to reason that it often can train and inspire better than text. The problem is that video is a one-way media and learners cannot participate in the rich interactions that increase both conceptual learning and learning transfer.

In this Webinar, Portland State University Professor Art Kohn, Ph.D., describes eight techniques that convert standard training video into an immersive, integrative learning experience. These techniques include:

* Virtual audiences
* Immersive interactions
* Embedded LearningLinks
* Subject-sensitive branching
* Community integration

These techniques work together to create a powerful learning experience that can sustain audience interest and increase the chance that employees will learn and transfer that learning into their daily tasks.
